Yup, it will do.

ok, there's two ways to go about this. The first is longer and harder, the second quicker and easier. (So take your pick...)

The Hard Way:

Manually: Open a shell. Dir to the partician in question. Then dir to ".deldir" (without quote marks, obviously). do a Dir command to see where everything is. Now, copy the article in question somewhere else (usually Ram:).

CD to Ram: (or wherever) and type protect /filename@number /rwed which turns the file into a readable, writable, editable, deleteable file. Then you can rename the file to get rid of the @number bit and copy it back where you want it.

The Easy Way:

Find PFS3ud in your PFS3 partician. The version on the CD is probably an old one though (I had 1.0!!!). goto Aminet and get the latest copy (2.something).

Run that (its an all-in-one file so no libraries are written or anything).

choose your partician from the left list. choose a destination from the right list (assuming you have the latest version that is). single click the files you want to get back and hit the restore button.

Voila!

(told you that way was easier! :)

P.S. Unless you have set your .deldir section to some ridiculas amount like 500 files you will only get back a few of the items you lost. The more .deldir you have, the more files you save. check the docs about setting a bigger .deldir - its easier than me explaining it all here.

TTFN
And happy recovering! :)
